 The Human Resources Department

group of peopleThe Human Resources Department is responsible for overseeing, reviewing and approving the hiring of staff, assuring that new staff are qualified and supported in their new roles. The Department handles employee relations including investigations of complaints, the implementation of effective performance management practices, orientations, and providing guidance to staff in the areas of benefits and leaves. The Human Resources Department is also charged with updating and maintaining District policies.

Laurie Hoge       Employee Benefits Coordinator

  • Coordinates the District’s insurance, benefit programs, and 403(b) annuity plans
  • Payroll management (IMRF, TRS, Social Security)
  • Manages and maintains employee information
  • Oversees submission of District payroll
  • Provides guidance to employees on retirement and disability benefits
  • Assists in the onboarding of new employees
  • Monitors daily attendance and leave plans
  • Coordinates vacation request procedures
  • Processes leave requests under FMLA and ADA

Tamencia Nolan     Payroll and Benefits Clerk

  • Manages and monitors the District’s payroll operations
  • Coordinates the Distribution of paychecks
  • Processes timesheets
  • Maintains records related to union dues deductions
  • Oversees deductions for annuities, wage garnishments., insurance and pension plans
  • Maintains accurate TRS and IMRF information
  • Assists in administering the District’s benefits program

Mitchell Soto-Rodriguez      Secretary to the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources

  • Prepares and sends correspondence to staff
  • New employee orientation and onboarding
  • Manages the hiring process

  • Manages and maintains personnel files and employee information
  • Conducts exit interviews
  • Communicates job postings to universities and job boards
