La Inscripción de Estudiantes 2024-2025 para Estudiantes Nuevos al Distrito Escolar 130 del Condado de Cook (Kdg - 8)

Thank you for choosing Cook County School District 130. Enrollment is open to all residents who reside within the school boundaries of Cook County School District 130. For parents/guardians who wish to enroll their NEW STUDENT(S) in Cook County School District 130, there is no need to stand in line–Register Online. You will receive emails guiding you through the process along the way.

To begin the enrollment process, there are four (4) steps required to complete before a student can be enrolled and scheduled into a classroom:

STEP 1: Complete New Student Form

Beginning on May 1, 2024, any families registering a re-returning or a new-to-district kindergarten to eighth-grade student(s) can use this LINK to complete an initial questionnaire to begin the 2024-2025 registration process.

To enroll in kindergarten in 2024-2025, your child must be five years old on or before September 1, 2024.

STEP 2: Complete Online Registration

If it is determined that you reside within the Cook County School District 130 boundaries, you will receive an email with a link for online student registration for the 2024-2025 school year that will become active starting on May 15, 2024.

** SPECIAL NOTE:

Online Student Registration Assistance

If you need assistance with completing your online student registration, you can email regparenthelp@district130.org to make an appointment with the registrar.  You will be able to use one of our registration computer stations if needed.

August Open Student Registration for Incomplete Returning Students or New Students

Open registration for returning and new students will be on August 6, 2024 (9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. by appointment) or on August 7, 2024 (12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. walk-in only) at each school.

Overcapacity Transfers

Please be informed of the possibility that your child may be transferred to another school within Cook County School District 130 due to maximum student enrollment in certain grade levels at your neighborhood school. The criterion for enrollment of students to another school is based on the date and time the student fully completed all steps of student registration. If it becomes necessary to transfer a student, the last enrolled student will be the first student moved to another school within Cook County School District 130.

STEP 3 – New Student Enrollment Documentation and Residency Verification at District Office

After you have registered your child online, Cook County School District 130 will require you to provide documentation for school enrollment, residency verification, and health/immunization records.  Within 5 business days after you submit your child’s online student registration, we will reach out to you by phone and/or email to begin Step 3 of new student registration.

Parents MUST make a new student appointment to provide school enrollment documentation, to provide health/immunization records, and to verify residency.  Appointments will take place at the Cook County School District 130 district office located at 12300 Greenwood Ave. in Blue Island, IL.

STEP #4: Respond to ParentSquare Texts and Emails

Beginning in late July 2024, you will receive an email with information about accessing ParentSquare and PowerSchool Access.  It will be important to create your PowerSchool Access and Parent Square accounts to receive notifications and information about your child’s enrollment.

Starting late July through August 2024, you will receive texts and/or emails through ParentSquare seeking confirmation and information about your child.  You will be required to respond to the ParentSquare messages to complete Step 3 of student registration and have your child scheduled for the 2024-2025 school year.
