Uniform Policy Adopted for All School District 130 K-5 Schools for 2011-2012 School Year
At the regular meeting of the Board of Education on July 15, 2010, the Board voted on the issue of a school uniform policy for students attending K-5 schools in the district. The Board adopted the uniform policy effective for the 2011-2012 school year for all K-5 schools, including Nathan Hale Primary and Intermediate, Paul Revere Primary and Intermediate, Lincoln, George Washington, Greenwood, and Whittier.
The adoption of a school uniform policy was previously approved for all middle schools during the July 7, 2010 Special Meeting of the Board of Education. The adopted middle school uniform policy will be utilized as the basis of the uniform code for all K-5 schools. The Board will evaluate the experience with the middle school uniform policy by March 2011 and will finalize all uniform code and discipline policies by this date. The middle school dress code will consist of light blue short/long sleeve collared polos, navy blue slacks, solid black shoes, and a black belt without decorative buckle.
Cook County School District 130 serves nearly 4,100 students at thirteen school sites. The district serves portions of the communities of: Alsip, Blue Island, Crestwood and Robbins.
