Our School Paul Revere Primary School is known throughout the local Blue Island community for its welcoming environment, talented teachers and staff, and multi-cultural student body of approximately 500 students. Revere Primary prides itself on providing a rigorous and engaging student-centered curriculum, positive school climate, and dedicated staff. All students at Revere Primary are encouraged to accept the challenge of acquiring a solid educational foundation that will ensure future success in their 21st century global economy.
Program Offerings Our children, staff, and community put reading first! Our instructional philosophy promotes and develops each child’s phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. Students receive daily small group and individual instruction in guided reading and literacy work stations.
Teachers meet weekly to discuss and implement researched based strategies in reading. In addition, the Literacy Team (Reading Recovery and Primary Literacy) join the classroom teachers with modeling best practices, collecting and analyzing student data, conducting professional development sessions, and servicing the children that need additional support in reading.
Highlights q At Paul Revere Primary, we are respectful, responsible, and safe! Through PBIS, students are routinely taught how to be respectful, responsible, and safe throughout the school and in the real world. q Students are able to participate in a variety of activities such as: Glasses Club, Girl Scouts, Healthy Pandas, PBIS Quarterly Incentives, and the Good Kid Café.
