Paul Revere Intermediate Student Inspired by People to People World Leadership Forum

Zoe Schultz

A fourth grader from Paul Revere Intermediate School traveled to Washington, D.C. during Spring Break to participate in a People to People World Leadership Forum.

Nominated by her teacher Lydia Beth Ouimet-Stipp, the fourth grader, along with fellow students from around the world, took part in activities and discussions to understand U.S. government, U.S. history and current events. Students remembered past events and gave ideas on how to build a better future, as well as participated in a service project.

The PRI student learned about leadership and how iconic leaders throughout history have handled world events. She also participated in various hands-on activities, relevant professional speakers, small-group workshops and visits to significant museums, memorials and monuments.

She said she was not only proud to be representing Paul Revere Intermediate School and District 130, but also the United States.  The young student is now considered a People to People Leadership Ambassador "Alumni" and can travel with them on any future trips they offer.

The People to People World Leadership Forum offers students a unique blend of specialized educational, leadership, and cultural exposure through a variety of programs, as well as an itinerary filled with the highlights of the hosting community.
