Notice to Parents Regarding PowerSchool Parent Portal Log On:

There has been a change in the way you log on to Parent Portal. In order to access your students information you will have to create an account and link your students to your account. When creating a new account you will see two sections: one for your account information and below that you will see the link students to account. In order to link your student to your account you will need to enter the student's name, access ID, access password and your relationship to the student. Once your account has been created and you have linked your son/daughter to your account, you will have the flexibility to view each student without having to sign in and out for each individual student.

If you need you child's access ID and password please contact their school and they can send you that information.

Notice to Parents Regarding Connect-ED:

The Parent Notification System, Connect-ED, is in place and being utilized throughout the District. If you have not received any messages, please contact your child's school to verify your contact information.

Notice to Parents Regarding Professional Staff Qualifications:

Parents may request information regarding the professional qualifications of their child's teachers, and of any instructional paraprofessionals assisting the teacher. Parents may obtain this information about teachers by going online to the Educator Certification System located on the Illinois State Board of Education website at www.isbe.net/ecs. Click on "Public Search" and then click on "Educator Name" and type in the name of the teacher. Then click on the teacher's name when it appears in the window and the teacher's current credentials and NCLB highly qualified status will be indicated.

Parents may also obtain information regarding teachers and instructional paraprofessionals by contacting the Human Resources Department at the District Office, 708-385-6800 ext. 7010, or by contacting the Human Resources Assistant at scisneros@district130.org.
