Nathan Hale Middle School welcomes two new administrators for the 2015-16 school year: Principal Constance Grimm-Grason and Assistant Principal Melissa Boyd.
Principal Grason brings a wealth of educational experience to District 130, both as a teacher and administrator. She taught sixth-grade in Chicago’s Hyde Park neighborhood for 13 years before earning a master’s degree in administration and supervision through the "New Leaders for New Schools" principal training program.
During the past 10 years as a school administrator, Grason has been a New Leaders Resident Principal, an assistant principal and most recently a principal in Morgan Park. She holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of New Mexico and a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from DePaul University.
Assistant Principal Boyd taught middle school science for 13 years in Chicago prior to joining District 130. She has been an active teacher leader in preparation for her new role. She holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences from Eckerd College and a master’s degree in administration from National Lewis University.
Ms. Grason and Ms. Boyd are honored to be the new administrators for Nathan Hale Middle School, and are committed to working with the students, families and staff to create extraordinary learning experiences for every student.
