District 130 Sports Program

District 130 currently offers team sports to students attending 6th, 7th, or 8th grades. The school year is divided up into 4 seasons: Fall, Winter A, Winter B, and Spring. The Fall season is during the months of August, September and October. The sports offered during the Fall season are Girls Junior Varsity and Varsity Volleyball and Boys Junior Varsity and Varsity Soccer. The Winter A season is during the months of October, November and December. Boys Basketball is offered during these months and includes three levels: 6th, 7th, and 8th. The Winter B season is during the months of January, February and March. Girls Basketball is offered during these months and includes three levels: 6th, 7th, and 8th. The Spring season is during the months of March, April and May. The sports offered during the Spring season are Girls Junior Varsity and Varsity Soccer and Boys Junior Varsity and Varsity Volleyball.

All students are welcome to tryout for these sports. A $50.00 fee is required to be paid by each student/athlete for each sport they play. Player fees pay for player uniforms and coaches’ stipends. Other documents such as tryout permission forms, sports rule forms, and/or player conduct forms may also be required. A 70% cumulative grade point average along with appropriate student behavior is required of all student/athletes in order receive playing time.
