Welcome to George Washington Elementary School. This is the educational home of 260 students in grades kindergarten through 5th grade. That age range is just one of the things that makes our school such a unique place; as we are the only K-5 school in Cook County School District 130.

The Mission of George Washington School is to maintain high expectations for all students by being:

• Respectful-independent learners who achieve their personal best.

I hope our school website will introduce you to our academic programs, district and school policies, and the work of our School Board. It’s also a great way for students and parents to access day-to-day information.

Parents are valued partners in our educational system and we encourage you to visit the school, consult with the staff and participate in school functions. We routinely hold parent conferences, parent education nights; focusing on academics and wellness activities like our Family Fitness Night.
