District 130 to Conduct Preschool Screenings

District 130 will be conducting Preschool Screenings on Monday, June 11 and Tuesday, June 12 for the purpose of identifying children who may be eligible for enrollment in the 2012-2013 Prekindergarten or Early Childhood Programs. Children must be residents of District 130 to participate in screenings. Children will be screened in the areas of language, motor, social, self-help, problem solving skills, and vision and hearing.

Screenings will take place at Horace Mann School, located at 2975 W. Broadway in Blue Island. Appointments are required and can be scheduled by calling Horace Mann School at 708-489-7440. Parents will be required to show three current proofs of residency and a copy of their child’s birth certificate. Placement priority will be given to students entering Kindergarten in 2014.
