Board of Education

 

The Cook County School District 130 Board of Education is composed of seven members who are elected by voters within the district's boundaries. Elections are held in odd-numbered years in the spring. Board members serve four-year terms.

The board meets at 6:30 p.m. on the third Thursday of every month. Meetings are held alternately either in Blue Island at Veterans Memorial Middle School or in Crestwood at the Eisenhower Cooperative.

Contacting the Board

The Board of Education welcomes communications from the community. Staff members, parents and community members should submit questions or communications for the Board of Education’s consideration to the Superintendent. The Superintendent shall provide the Board with a summary of these questions or communications and provide, as appropriate, his or her feedback regarding the matter. (Policy 2:140)
